Caveat Lector

I saw this listing of 50 weird laws in the Times of India recently. Here are some of the best. 

1. Picking your nose is illegal on Saturdays in Israel (Thou shalt not dig for gold on the Sabbath Day)
2. It is also illegal for a chicken to lay eggs on Fridays or Saturdays there
3. It is illegal to leave your house without underwear in Thailand (really???)
4. It is illegal to flush toilets in Swiss apartments after 10pm
5. Calling a pig Napolean is banned in France
6. In Liverpool, it is illegal for a woman to be topless except as a clerk in a tropical fish store or in a bank if handling foreign currency (give me my cash, all in USD)
7. In Connersville, Wisconsin no man can shoot a gun while his female partner is having an orgasm (the coyotes can wait)
8. In Utah women are not supposed to have sex with a man while riding in an ambulance (even if its his dying wish?)
9. In Oxford, Ohio women cannot strip while standing in front of a man’s picture
10. Carrying an ice-cream cone in your pocket is banned in Kentucky
11. Eating in a place that is on fire is a misdemeanor in Chicago
12. In Indonesia the penalty for masturbation is decapitation (and that’s why they say, do not take the law in your hands)
13. In UK a man can relieve himself in public if he so requires only if he aims for his rear wheel and keeps his right hand on his vehicle (move over doggie, its my turn to water the wheel)
14. In Florida unmarried women can be jailed for parachuting on Sundays
15. in York the law permits you to kill a Scotsman within the old city walls, but only if he carrying a bow and arrow 
16. It is illegal to die in the Houses of Parliament in UK
17. In Ohio it is illegal to get your fish drunk
18. You cannot step out if you are wearing unmatched jackets and trousers in Carmel, New York
19. In Texas, ‘when two trains meet each other at a crossing each shall come to a full stop and neither shall proceed until the other has gone’ (you go first, no no, you please)
20. In UK a pregnant woman can legally relieve herself anywhere she wants - even, if she so requests, in a policeman’s helmet
